A Little Catching Up...

     Well since the semester is over I figure I probably have some time to blog and catch the blogging world up on my life. Unfortunately it's not like I have the most exciting life so mostly it's kind of lame...but I am still gonna catch y'all up. Mostly since I resurfaced from finals week I have been working....a lot. Not that I am complaining about it, I absolutely love my job and am incredibly grateful to be able to work there.I am mostly convinced that the Cowboy Grub is one of the greatest places to work. The atmosphere and the people are what keeps me coming back. Even really stressful weeks are made better by simple things my coworkers do. Sometimes its just a look or an eye roll but even those little things can lift a foul mood that was the result of a particularly cantankerous table.
Other than work though my life hasn't really been all that exciting, like I said...lots and lots of hours clocked at the Grub.
As is expected of me I am super excited for football season.
111 more days until Utah football kicks off their 2012-2013 season....give or take a few hours...not that I'm counting or anything...
In fact to make me even more excited for football we (being me, Dani and Lexi) went to the U's annual Red and White Scrimmage. I. Love. FOOTBALL. And it only made me even more impatient for the season to start. Although I gotta say it, the alumni's flag football game was more fun to watch...at least for me. It just felt like they were having more fun whereas the team seemed to be treating it as just another practice. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the whole day....even though I got a wicked sunburn...I just enjoyed the obvious fun that the alumni players were having. And it's always fun to watch Eric Weddle play any sort of football ;) let's be real haha.
However....I have a bomb to drop on the blogging world....I may or may not be becoming a baseball fan.
I KNOW I KNOW...I am just as shocked as all of you are..Dani's fault.
But hey I have to have something to watch and care about while the real athletes are in their Spring and Summer training camps {just teasing, I said that to get a rise out of my baseball loving friends and family...teehee}
But I have gone to a few Utah baseball games now and I have actually really enjoyed myself. I guess I never really believed that baseball could be interesting {in my defense, though, my only baseball experiences were of the Little League persuasion...and come on...while the mini players are cute..their games are incredibly boring}
And while the Utes aren't exactly a baseball powerhouse, their games are still pretty fun to go to. There is just something about the atmosphere of live collegiate sports that is completely and totally intoxicating. And I am a proud addict of Utah Utes Athletics.
I have to say though I am so excited for my graduation. In the past week or so I got to watch a couple of my friends walk proudly across that stage and accept their diploma's and it has only fueled my desire for that to be me one day. I am so proud of them for completing their goals and wish them all the best in their future endeavors beyond college.
 My high school graduation was one of the greatest days of my life and I figure that graduation from the University of Utah can only be a million times greater. I cannot wait.
But that's pretty much been my life for the past two months or so since I last blogged. Fascinating right?
But it is my way to leave you with some pictures, it's what I do.
Red and White Game!!

So stoked for football season!

Baseball can be fun....who knew?

Probably the best game day shoes ever created

Let's go Utes!

Much love,
-L
