Wait....what?!?!?!

      Oh hey school starts on Monday....wait....WHAT???

     Really though....didn't I just barely hand in my last paper like yesterday??? At least that's how it feels to me....in some respects I feel like I am still waiting for my summer to begin and now it's ending? Now that just isn't fair. But if I really think about it Summer 2011 has been very good to me. I have gone on many a crazy awesome adventure with my wonderful, crazy, awesome friends. This summer was definitely one of the best summers to date.
    It's a sign of a good summer when it feels like it has gone by altogether too quickly. There are so many things that I still want to do but I guess I have to save those awesome things for next summer; or there is always holiday breaks right? haha. On the other hand though I have done so many awesome things this summer that made amazing memories so I am totally and completely satisfied with the adventure that was Summer 2011. If I really truly sit down and think about this past summer I come away smiling and that is what I aim for and what I call a good summer. I was able to play with my best friends basically everyday as well as have the opportunity to meet and make new friends who I love. Granted all this fun was interrupted with work but that wasn't even that big of a deal because I do love my job and my coworkers so very much that it isn't too much of a chore to work.
     I am totally going to take this opportunity to share some of my most favorite pictures from this summer though...because they bring a smile to my face...and if you don't like then...well...go start your own blog then haha.

I am sad to see it end but I am super excited for the next stage of our lives to begin. If this summer is any indication at all, if we stick together it'll be an adventure. Love you all!! And away we go!

So Close and Yet Soooo Far Away!!

The end of the semester is two days away...that's literally four class periods....two tests and two papers away from being home free!
In two days my freshman year in college will be behind me.
Where has this year gone?!?! It seriously has gone by so quickly, it's like I blinked and my whole freshman year was over. So many crazy important things have happened to me over the course of this year and I am so not the person I was when I started at the U. I like to think that I am a better person than I was and I hope to continue to grow as I continue as a college kid.
Even more exciting about the semester ending? Summer is beginning!!!!
There are so many things that I want to do this summer and so many things that I hope are spontaneous and adventurous. I am really just excited for sunshine and flip flops and shorts and freedom!! I've got a feeling that this summer will be one of the best yet.

Top Ten Things I Am Most Excited For: Summer 2011
  1. Sleeping in!!!
  2. Movie nights with my best friends
  3. Camp fires, roasting some s'mores {among other things} and enjoying the great outdoors
  4. Going to St. George to visit my Grandma
  5. Road tripping it to Moab {I've never been!!}
  6. Having heart to hearts and deep chats under the summer sky, again with my best friends
  7. Spontaneous adventures
  8. Creating and finishing a summer reading list {suggestions are always welcome :) }
  9. Taking endless crazy pictures
  10. Overall being 19 and crazy
I seriously cannot wait for Summer 2011! I have the power to make it amazing and I will harnass that power! Here we go Summer 2011, bring on the adventures!!!!

Burns, Banana Bread and Birthdays

It's finally warm enough for a sunburn!!
Which I got my first sunburn yesterday....and I loved it...still love it...
I know I'm weird....but it's exciting...because that means that maybe, just maybe winter is ending and summer will soon be here.
Seriously though it felt awesome to just sit in the sun and fall asleep. I totally recommend it, get your iPod, play a summer-ey playlist and just doze for at least 15 minutes...it'll change your life...really though.

On another note I decided to try and make banana bread...for the first time...all by myself.
It's a recipe that is over 100 years old..yeah I was a little nervous to screw up...
Luckily though it turned out delicious (with the slight modification of chocolate chips instead of nuts) and I am pretty proud of myself that it turned out so well...I really was nervous...didn't help that my mom was making fun of me, calling me a 1950's housewife for being so domestic..but I don't see her complaining now that she gets to eat the finished product :)

Officially my birthday is in 12 DAYS!!! I am 19 years old in 12 DAYS!!!! So excited!
MARCH 23
 mark it on your calendars it's a seriously important day...really....like I heard President Obama may make it into a national holiday or something...but as far as I am concerned it's been a national holiday for 18 almost 19 years now...I'm kidding of course.....well about the Obama part ;)

My thoughts and prayers go out to those in Japan and all affected by this earthquake/tsunami.
