No Day But Today!!

     Alright....I should have blogged about this awhile ago...but I got distracted, life happened and all that jazz. Anywhoosers last Thursday I got the amazing opportunity to go see Rent live at Pioneer Theatre Company located up on the University of Utah's campus; and it was INCREDIBLE!! Rent has been my absolute favorite show for a long time now and it was so awesome seeing it live! I have seen this show sooooo many times that I have actually lost count; but each time I see it I pull something else out of it and this last time was no different.
(the amazing cast in one of their pictures from the playbill)
     This particular cast did such a fantastic job! Their chemistry was realistic and their relationships beautiful. In particular, however, I was absolutely riveted by Fabio Monteiro who played Roger. Now I don't say this lightly, Roger is my favorite character and I am extremely critical of anyone playing that role (sometimes unfairly and unrealistically so...) but Fabio Monteiro was, in a word that I have already overused in this post, incredible. Every time he took the stage I could not take my eyes off of him. He brought such a unique and powerful energy to the role that I immediately re-fell in love with the character, in "Your Eyes" and "One Song Glory" his beautiful voice and brilliant character created a memorable experience. The rest of the cast was equally as brilliant and their show tugged on my heartstrings, made me laugh, cry and cheer.
     Rent is such an incredible show and I truly believe that it changed my life. This production, like all the others I have has the pleasure of seeing, stayed true to the message at the heart of Rent: live life to its fullest and don't let your past hold you back.
   NO DAY BUT TODAY!

Girls Night Out!

WARNING: This may shock all you boys out there:
sometimes us girls need nights away from the male species.
And that is why the creation of the girls night out came about. (As well as its counter the boys night out for many of the same reasons).
Anywhoosers last night was one of these Girls Night Out's with my best friend Ms. Seawillow Knight, and it was a total WIN!

We went Olive Garden {yummy}
where the food was delicious and so was our server, Griffin :)
{just because it is a Girls Night Out doesn't mean that it was a No Boys Allowed}
It was such a great evening filled with great food, cute waiters and awesome company!

 Just a little taste of what we ate too much of! It was all so good from the salad and bread sticks to the Ziti and White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. Yummmmm!!

And what's a Girls Night Out without a little shopping??
Don't underestimate the power of a little retail therapy....

I really needed that night out and I'm so glad that I went with Seawillow. She's such a crazy awesome girl and I love her lots!
